Chapter One:
A Troubled Family
It Had been a Year he told Himself, He needed to stop depressing himself. He told Himself he had survived a year without her, he’ll be able to handle another. But deep down he knew that the only way he did survive was because of the help from his younger brother, and his father. Jack Thomas had lived a year in depression after his Mother died from a strange Disease in her Stomach. Although he is 25 years old, He is not a man, and even now even a year after his mothers death he feels more like a child than ever. He feels helpless, confused, and lost. He feels as if He is stranded on a boat than cannot move in the middle of the Spannish Main. Even with his family’s wealth, the most talented doctors could not cure his mother. His family is the wealthiest family in all of the small Aurytown Island.
His Father George Henry Thomas had been Govenor of Aurytown for eight years, and had been called by many the best Politician Aurytown has ever seen. He got the title because Aurytown was a town of low standards. The Policing System was Down, the Authority’s could easily be bribed or coaxed into doing something ones way. But The Police were only following the leads of the Politicians, who were much known for being pirates in they’re own way. George Thomas had once believed he could change Aurytown, and he did change the town for the time of his term. And after he stepped out of office the town and its old habbits went back to its old ways.
Jacks Younger brother Charles who was at the age of eight was in the worst pain of their mothers death, she had been his best friend and now he is troubled by other children because of his quite nature. But his brother was a tough boy. After his mothers death he became more isolated. His emotions could be tapped much easier now. One Day after playing with a few children he was tormented because of his Large ears. Only after a few comments from the tormentor Charles Attacked him with such force the boy had a broken wrist and black eye. Jack had been walking back from the town market as his brother attacked the boy. Jack Had later told his father that it was as if this had been Bottled up inside of his young brother and a few small comments were what made the boy burst and let it all out.
Jack had only two things left in his life worth meaning. His Father and his Brother. Both needed him and both depended on him as much as he depended on them. And he would die for the only two people left in the world that he loved. Jack had been living in the past, he had been living, looking at the days his family once was, he had been running from the future, terrified of what it might bring. And that terror was about to meet up with him.
Chapter Two:
Past Meets Present
Jack was awoken by one of the few maids that worked at the Thomas Estate. When he heard her light voice and felt her soft touch on his shoulder he thought for a moment it was his mother waking him on a bright sunday morning for an early walk or carriage ride as she often did. But he as he opened his Eyes and Saw the maid, he knew it was only a dream. It wasnt his mother, it was a maid. It wasnt even a bright Sunday morning, it was a gloomy Tuesday.
“Time to Wake Up Mr. Thomas” The maid spoke softly as she opened the curtains of his bedroom.
“What Time is it?” Jack said groggy as he climbed out of bed.
“About 10 A.M., Mr Thomas”
“Is my brother up yet?” Jack asked as the maid rushed to the bed immediately folding the sheets and puffing the pillows.
“That was my next priority, I save his waking for last since he is the one that gives me such trouble in the mornings.”
“I can do it this morning, he wouldn’t dare give me trouble about it” Jack Spome with a bit of a chuckle at the end as he walked out of the room.
Jack walked down the short hallway past two bedrooms as he approached the third at the end of the hall. He knocked on the door and then walked into the room.
“Charles, Wake up.”
“…uh..errr…Jack?” Charles mumbled out.
“Yes Charles, Now get out of the bed before I have to throw you out.” Jack Said threatening.
“…Im getting out” Charles spoke with some frustration in his voice as he slowly climbed out of bed.
Charles followed Jack as they walked down the stairs into the dining room where their father was sitting at the table.
“Good morning, boys.”
“Hello Father. Jack Said he was gonna Throw me-” Just as Charles was speaking Jack Pushed him into a chair of infront of the table.
“OW” Charles said loudly as he rubbed his arm”
“Father did you See that? Jack Pushed me into the table!”
Their Father George Gave a laugh as he picked up a small book to read.
“Jack” George Henry Spoke right as Jack was leaving the room.
“Yes?”
“I need you to go into town and pick up a few items for us.” His father raised his head from the book at glanced at Jack.
“Can’t one of the maids do that father?” Jack asked.
“I’m not going to
send them into this weather, its raining fiercly out there.”
“So you send your Son?” Jack Sarcastically mumbled under his breath as he walked up of the room.
After Preparing for the rain Jack Walked outside and noticed it was slowly starting to stop raining. He walked to the Town Market where as always there were still many people. By the time Jack Bought what he needed the raining had slowed to a heavy drizzle. Jack had taken a short cut he usually took. He called it a short cut when in actuallity it took longer to get home this way. He only took it because the main road went past Aurytown’s cemetary, the same cemetary where his mother was buried. As he turned a corner to a small backway behind some houses he saw a large tree had fallen and blocked the path, most likely knocked down by the heavy storm they had that night before. He tried to push it, but it was much to heavy to push, much to high to climb, and much to narrow to crowl under. To get home he had to take the main road.
As he was walking home he saw a few men and women run into their houses. He didnt think much of it because it seemed the rain had thickened a little bit. He walked halfway home and saw the cemetary. He loved his mother even in death far too much to just walk back or let some rain stop him. He walked through the cemetary gates. He walked down a small path past many grave stones. he got to a turn in the dirt path when he stopped. He took a large breath and turned the path and saw a large head stone entiltled “Samantha Grace Thomas”.
Jack tried to stay away from the cemetary as much as he could. Everytime he went there all the old feelings he had been tring to rid himself of came back and it bacame harder to move on, which was what his father insisted he do.
“I miss you Mother.” Jack lightly Spoke as he pulled out a heart shape necklace from underneath his shirt that his mother gave him when she was dying. She had told him to keep it on always and he would be safe. a Tear ran down the side of Jacks face. This it what he tried to avoid he told himself. He had to move on with his life, it would be something his mother would want him to do.
“I’m Sorry Mother I have to-” Jack was cut off by a loud bang coming from the side of Aurytown which his family’s esate was. Then another by the docks. Jack ran to the fence of the cemetary where he could see the docks. He looked at the docks and saw a small flash, then heard another bang. Somebody might have been trying to steal a vessel and the guards were trying to stop him. Then Jack heard another BANG from the direction of the Thomas Mansion.
Jack Ran out of the cemetary as fast he could, dodging the men and women running home from the market trying to avoid being shot. As he approched the Family House he had seen the door was blasted open, and the worst came to mind. He could hear shouting coming from upstairs as he stood outside. He saw a bright flash followed immedietly by a liud BANG! Jack ran to the shed infront of their house where his father kept three old muskets that they were going to use for hunting sometime, but they never actually did. Jack Grabbed the Already loaded muskets, he hung the one musket with a strap around his back and carried one in each hand as he ran towards the house. He sped into the door as he saw the maid who had woke him up that morning lying on the floor. She had been shot in the chest, he maids uniform covered in blood. Jack had no doubt that these were pirates in his house, and they were here to steal from the wealthiest family in Aurytown.
Jack Ran upstairs cautiosly, he was terrified because of all the tales of pirates he had heard, but he thought they were just tales, stories that adults told their children to scare them. When infact he believed pirates to be greddy pick-pocketers. His father had taught him to shoot when he was just a boy, and he was surprisingly a very accurate shot for his age at the time. Jack Turned the corner upstairs and saw one closed door, his fathers bedroom. Jack could hear men argueing in the room.
“Last time Im gonna ask ye mate, WHERE IS THE GOLD?” A bruffled voice spoke.
“I told you, I invested most of our goods in Aurytown bank, We dont have anything here. Please do not hurt my family” George Henry Pleaded.
“No Man with the largest house on the island has their money in a bank, mate, Tell me or the kid goes to davy Jones locker!” The Strong voice spoke again, but much more angry.
“NO! Please dont hurt my son, he’s just a boy-”
Just then Jack hear a BANG come from inside the room.
“NOO! CHARLES! YOU SHOT MY BOY, YOU SON OF A BITCH!” Jacks Father yelled.
“And you’re next if you dont give me the gold!” The Voice spoke again.
What just happened? Jack wasnt sure if this was real, pirates in their house? Jack Had to think quickly, which he was very good at, he came up with a plan.
“I-I’ve..I’ve got the gold Out here!” Jack!” Jack Yelled into the room as he raised one of his muskets to the door.
“Who are ye?” The Voice behind the door Asked.
“Didn’t you hear me? I said I’ve got the gold out here!”
“Then the old man lied to me…” The gruff voice said.
“NO!” His Father Yelled Right before another loud BANG.
Jack Wasnt sure what to do now, He wasnt sure if his father and brother were alive or dead. The door slowly opened, and the large man walked out of the room. The man who was surely a Pirate was large, he had a big black beard, and peircing hazel eyes. he was holding a musket, the musket which was smoking, but dropped it after he was out of the door. He put his hand on a pistol that was ticked into his belt.
Who are ye, boy?Was that your family in there? ” The large man lightly asked.
Jack didnt speak, even if he wanted to he knew it would be impossible. He glared at the man as he raised his musket.
“Ye Won’t be wantin’ do be doin’ that boy.” The large pirate said as he pulled out his pistol from his belt then pointed it at Jack. The Pirate Pulled back the hammer of the pistol and aimed it at Jack.
“I’m Sorry about your family, Boy.” Just as the pirate ended his comment about four guns were fired through the window of the room where his father and brother lay. Most of the bullets his the wall, but one skimmed the pirates leg. As the Pirate fell he Fired his pistol.

I didnt care for it! Maybe if you had your older brother help you people would read it.
Real nice! Your web site is helpful. Keep up the great work. Keep it up!
Do you realize this is the world wide web? All those misspelled words and incorrect punctuations you put out there under your name can be seen by anyone with access to a computer.
Also the beginning sucks. Start out with action not a lengthy explanation. That’s the fastest way to loose a reader.
“NOO! CHARLES! YOU SHOT MY BOY, YOU SON OF A BITCH!” Jack’s Father yelled.
Did Charles shot the boy? Is he the SOB? I’m confused.
Read it out loud to yourself.
