What Do You Want Writerly Life to Be?
As the new Writerly Life starts to take wing, I’m eager to make the site more accessible and more of a community for the writers who read it. That means I’ve been thinking hard about what readers want out of the site, and how I can provide that. So I’d like to hear from you about what kinds of posts you like best on Writerly Life, and what you’d like to see more of.
I welcome comments on this post about what you want Writerly Life to be.
Are the weekly mailbag posts, in which I respond to reader comments, interesting or helpful?
Do you want more reviews of books or writing products?
Do you want more posts about specific writing techniques, or more posts about adding creative thinking to your daily life?
Is there a kind of post or topic that’s missing?
I want Writerly Life to be a fun and thought-provoking resource for writers. So why not speak up about how it can get better? Tell me in the comments what you’d like to see more of, and I’ll consider what readers are telling me. I’ll start the conversation going with a specific question. Vote for which of the below post topics you would be most interested to read:
A how-to post about how to use a specific technique in your writing
A list of five thing to do or not to do to get published
A discussion of how important endings are in short stories or novels
Vote in the comments, and thanks for giving feedback! Writerly Life will continue to grow and improve thanks to your thoughts.

I love the mailbag posts, as well as the articles on specific techniques. They always make me look at writing in a new way.
For the vote, I must split my opinion: The how-to post, and the post about endings.
I always find your posts about specific techniques particularly informative, and your posts about incorporating creativity into daily life are great. Book reviews might be fun as well.
As for the vote, I’d like to learn more about story endings.
This site is doing great so far- perhaps some focus on writerly inspiration (how to get some, how to use it etc…)
